LTSC 2021/2024 don't have OEM keys IoT LTSC has OEM keys although few N editions support HWID with MAK key, but they didn't enable it for LTSC 2021/2024 (or even for Servers that have OEM keys)
Does the IoT Enterprise LTSC version lift the POPCNT requirement? I know, if you're using an old computer, you shouldn't run Windows 11, but if all other requirements are lifted, it would make sense that the POPCNT requirement would be lifted along with those other ones.
The message you quoted was about TPM, etc., not POPCNT, was it? I thought all 26100 SKUs need POPCNT? TPM is just a check, when POPCNT is in the compiled code, right? But if you're right, I will test on my older systems (thought I already did that, but might have skipped IOT version)
Weird, I also had to restart in order to show the sharing tab under properties. Coming straight from win 10 ltsc, I'm pretty sure this was not the requirement there.
This is my OS Spoiler: W11 Edition Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC Version 24H2 Installed on 5/29/2024 OS build 26100.268 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.1.0 Like this
Just one last question, stupid one, I know: does this edition (IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024) require that you use Bitlocker? I've seen many videos on Youtube saying that it can lock down my data. This is embarrassing: that wasn't the last question, but this is (I swear), does IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 have Windows 11 Recall? People say that feature is the scum of the Earth.
Am I taking crazy pills or is the IoT image already on the OEM ISO? Code: C:\Windows\system32>dism /get-wiminfo /wimfile:c:\win11iso\sources\install.wim Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.19041.3636 Details for image : c:\win11iso\sources\install.wim Index : 1 Name : Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC Description : Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC Size : 17,481,397,409 bytes Index : 2 Name : Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC Description : Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC Size : 17,481,430,920 bytes Index : 3 Name : Windows 11 IoT Enterprise Subscription LTSC Description : Windows 11 IoT Enterprise Subscription LTSC Size : 17,481,456,239 bytes The operation completed successfully. Has anyone tried just putting in the IOT key when installing?
I had Copilot install plus a couple of ai voices through the most recent update. I uninstalled through "Installed Apps". Looks like they (MS) are not going to keep it clean after all.
