There is a misconception as to what "stable" means. The term "stable" when talking about update cycles, like with Linux distros, has nothing to do with how buggy the software may or may not be, but rather that the base stays the same throughout the cycle, only changing when a new cycle begins, and as such stable=predictable. Your experience with stable, as in "free of bugs" is indicative only for your circumstance, so what hardware you have, which settings you have set, and when the code was published. And as such does not contradict other people's experiences, which are only indicative for their circumstances. There have been a few times that Debian contained serious bugs, and due to their update cycle policy, they only got fixes after the next main release. Personally, I have both positive and negative experiences, however in recent years, I have had better experiences (for the most part) with rolling-release distros (I daily drive Solus, however when I have time, I run Arch on a secondary drive).
There is just one image and it contains en-US Enterprise 2024 LTSC, IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC and Subscription IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC. IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC doesn't check for the tpm and secureboot requirements. Downloads can be found at the OP, download section.
Thank you for your reply. If you go to OP "Differences between IoT Ent. 2024 LTSC & Ent. 2024 LTSC" link table is showing that tpm is required for LTSC version. Am I missing something?
Then fix it, read my previous reply, i included the info just in case you wanted to use non IOT LTSC. Actually you asked for enterprise without tpm requirement, i answered IoT Enteprise 2024 LTSC doesn't require tpm......
There is no pre-fixed ISO, other then the ISO containing the mentioned SKUs, you can fix the ISO so non IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC can be used on systems without a tpm by using the mentioned fix tool. Here i linked to the fix: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-2024-24h2-26100-x.88280/page-45#post-1841121
Does anyone know what build 26100.3 is supposed to be? (26100.3.240511-2333.GE_RELEASE_SVC_OEM_CLIENTMULTI_X64FRE_EN-GB)
base build for 24H2 will always be 26100.1 build 26100.3 has LCU Windows11.0-KB5039417-x64.msu, it can't be base, it's just the update for OEM
Probably there is one more option to install non-IoT LTSC on unsupported devices: firstly install IoT LTSC and after switch it to non-IoT via MAS or by entering the corresponding default KMS key.
Hi everyone, I read IOT Enterprise LTSC does not require TPM / Secureboot / UEFI but I'm trying to do a clean install on a BIOS machine without TPM and when booting, after the first Windows logo it restarts everytime. If those features are not required why it is not possible to install from scratch?
