There is no protection, i have been installing my custom (IoT) Enterprise 2024 LTSC today for over 10 times and it works fine. Clean installs and upgrades work fine. Most likely the "modifications" are the cause?
I made custom iso by installing 24h2 system on Virtual Box, tweak it, then backup install.esd with Dism++ and copy this install.rsd in W10 iso, and it's running perfectly. If I try to take 24h2 iso to receive .esd, install fails..
I did several tests without an XML file and both gave an error with .1457. I tested up to server 2025 also with 1457 update and it also gave the same error. It has the W10UI.cmd in the "updates" folder, always best to replace it with the most current version.
This update KB5041571 is not integrated. When I want to integrate it even via W10UI_10.44, it just suddenly stops the script. He doesn't give me any answer.
