Will definitively take a look in, thanks Ahh this one.. yea, so rarely I open it, maybe its possible to remove them with some registry entries either. Would like to have the old good volume mixer there instantly instead of all the crap there, Win7 was a masterpiece ngl. (Funny enough I just have seen win7 still getting some updates till 2026.Thought 2023 was absolute final end, seems not, lol) (POSready, but there are some ways to get them into your normal enterprise, as it was possible for windows XP till 2019) Yep, that should be. Well right now I'm close... some minor random tasks doing 0,1%, Librewolf (Browser) any around 5%, - AMD 8x3,8. Taskmanager, "System" and svc-host "sysmain" (whatever it does) has random spikes up to 1,x%s depending, but rest is 0. Just probably ive a lot of event viewer errors and all that stuff haha, even without further heavy removes system is already an undead monster Could trim down the drivers to 8GB now, just taking Storage and Ethernet, probably below 1GB. Although the nvidia one my own machine takes me 1.7, gonna exclude this stuff either. Nvclean one of the first things running on machine, no big deal.
mind if I ask for a direct link download for KB5041587 on this build ? iot enr ltsc 24H2 26100.1457 all updates installed, minus optional KB5041865 I just disabled secure boot to hunt gaming performance on zen3, wil re-enable it. no linux installed. I see no point since all I do is game.
With regard to ongoing 24H2 development... Don't fool yourself. Windows 11 development is currently continuing down a negative road for consumers and businesses alike. MSFT is likely to continue to develop code for the "efficiency" cores and "NPU" subprocessors in Intel CPUS to fulfill their profit-making agendas. There's little we can do about that. You can remove as many background apps and drivers as you want. But anyone who continues to deploy Windows 11 variants should do it with their eyes open to the possibility that their loss of privacy is continuing to deteriorate.
What is your point of view with Windows 11 23H2? So far I consider that 23H2 is a bit more stable than 22H2 (from my perspective) but I would like to hear a second opinion. I consider that 24H2 is still a long way from being able to be used on a daily basis, I am more interested in Enterprise LTSC and IoT Enterprise LTSC 24H2. The PRO version of 24H2 does not attract my attention, I suppose that in LTSC 24H2 it will be a bit more adaptable to low-resource hardware.
it's the same builds, all ltsc builds are the same as pro or something there is no magic and there never has been, if you want to remove some stuff then you could do it on any edition the point of LTSC is to never upgrade it in a production environment, nothing else
never had any issues with 22h2 any blue screen or something didnt work the way it should, very few event viewer errors. it all depends of what you want of your os, i have removed everything i dont and never in the past used like hyper-v i would if i wanted and had a time create ltsb 2016 out of 23h2 but theres no point as no positive difference between 22h2 and 23h2 so i just skipped it thinking i will upgrade to 24h2 but still not happy surely not for now, likely in the future will try again. if you wanted to install 24h2 now i would go for pro as you can download it from uup and remove things edge etc you dont want from upp config file, so its basically ltsc 24h2 but you could already have photos store etc installed. plus if you do gaming i think pro will be better. most i dont like about 24h2 is that services constantly use cpu even when idle not sure if microsoft will optimise it or its because of theres no intel dtt drivers for my motherboard yet. i really like i mean when i open task manager and leave mouse alone seeing all services slowely going to 0% cpu usage. Thats how i expect stable windows to work also no sfc dism errors and interrupts in task manager.
