Tried this 1 month ago, was not impressed, it was unstable on my 5900x, also , was a bit scared of getting a ban from random games because of unknown win version. As a long time windows enthusiast I must ask, what are you guys seeing in this new windows that is not already great in 10 ltsc ? I see a lack of customization in taskbar and start menu, infuse of Ai, even in ltsc which I find nuts, and general vista-esque experience. Tl;Dr , what features makes you want to use 11 ltsc when it's release and not stay on ltsc 2021 until the end of support?
The only really thing I like about win 11 is a dark mode that's why I use 11 22h2 no ai and easy to remove whatever I don't like. Tried 23h2 then 24h2 but no no no thank you Microsoft.
My opinion about windows LTSC 11 vs windows 11 pro after using it for a long time - both. For me personally, plain windows pro wins. Since Microsoft has allowed you to clear Windows 11 of things you don't need, you can turn off all telemetry with a simple script from mydigitallife... The result - as efficient as Windows LTSC and, in addition, there are no problems or fun with installing the MS store etc. I tested it in games and there is no difference, so why bother. The only case for home use is LTSC IoT for installations without hardware requirements, however, e.g. Intel i7 gen 3-4 does not work anyway - you know, I don't know why (freeze offten).
I'm on 26100 for several months now with i7-3770k CPU, not a single problem (they fixed UI stuttering long time ago)
Thanks for the reply, yes, I noticed this only happens with 24h2 (26100) but I was using some isos from oprekin's site. He has these packages removed, but as you can imagine, He doesn't want to reveal how he did it, some time playing with the components, removing things I managed to remove all the base packages, but I'm not sure which component I removed, unfortunately.
I would also like to ask something else, I am using w10mui to integrate lp and ondemand packages to my iso, but I also included the 4 updates I mentioned before,The question is: is there an order to install the updates? SafeOs and DU? Or can I apply everything at once? That is, lp, on demand, safeos dynamic update, the latest CU and ndp?
it shouldn't be removed, you'll end up with broken system it's needed for checkpoint updates you should put the full update set in the updates folder, make sure the W10UI script is the latest available.
Hogwarts Legacy, all security features enabled or disabled, refuses to run. Literally disabled every possible security feature, nada. Ran fine in Win 10. Don't recall trying in 23h2. Also tried forcing igfx and discrete, turning off auto-hdr and fso. Nope. On 26100.1457 currently.
I'm getting strange gpu usage to 80-100% on 3060 12gb with no app running and almost barely minimum software installed. I've run tron script to check for troubles (includes malwarebytes and a lot of antimalware tools automatic) and didn't found anything. run autoruns, uploaded to virustotal. excepting some codecs unverified, noting red here. any file was uploaded to virustotal before running. excepting latest cuda, nothing I would think would impact. doubt it's a typical malware, would be detected by malwarebytes. I would give a beer to find what causes insane gpu usage with no opened program.
Hello, could someone instruct? download 26100.1.240331-1435.ge_release_CLIENT_ENTERPRISES_OEM_x64FRE_en-us.iso and the w10mui file my main language is es-MX so download Microsoft-Windows-Client-LanguagePack-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~es-MX~_bea3f64e9d468d8f0c1389ee3069203d49cc3f8c.esd I put it in the langs folder I also downloaded the on demand packages, there are 39 files and I put them in the folder with the same name, In the updates folder I put these updates: defend-dism-x64.cab windows11.0-kb5041865-x64_745f200f2b0134e70f7c622e0eb356d98b088345.msu windows11.0-kb5041980-x64_66d5025dafa6e46ed51732e39869a6107d49fac5.cab windows11.0-kb5042098-x64-ndp481_75fb29d8a82fde2199171290b83253841d9e16f2.msu windows11.0-kb5042580-x64_0608aa4f1d23712a60ca1939c181f5d2c75eef7d.cab Am I missing something? Will using the w10mui file install everything in one pass? How should I configure w10mui and w10ui to avoid errors??? Are the updates that I already included all of them? or am I missing something? I thank you in advance for your answers, I did it this way the last time and the iso did not install in a virtual machine, so I decided to ask. Greetings to the community!!
The language files are listed in the project txt files. and the updates can be found here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1830860 Yes, see here for example: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1849948
I always my O.S. barebone and LTSC is exactly that straight from the box. As for my use, my machine is a workstation. For video games, I use consoles and eventually, in the future, will I switch (no pun intended) to a PC for gaming. As for the workstation needs, LTSC is perfect. I don't want to spend time tying my computer, customizing it, etc. My O.S. has two main objectives: 1. To work as soon as installed; 2. To make itself forgotten while I work. The best O.S. for that is macOS, but I use specific apps that don't have macOS counterparts, not even Linux (some have, but not without issues), only Windows. And a V.M. is out of the question for some of the apps. So Windows it is. And using that Windows LTSC with all my apps working without issue makes my work straightforward and that's all I ask. Oh, that and an updated FlashFXP with SSL working (I have a patch for that, but it never worked ; ideally, the original programmer would hand over the source code and make himself forgotten for what he has done). As for what I do, I am a data scientist on macro and micro levels.
I've started playing about with the autounattend.xml file. Shouldn't be no different to 10 LTSC but doing some testing in a virtual box for now. EDIT: That went well, it's reading autounattend.xml and applying settings perfectly fine. Time to customise the file for settings.
