BTW I had glitches with both 95941 and 96100, never seen in years of Server 11 tests. The latter confirms once again the way to go if you want a stable, light, problem free Windows.
I tried out windows 11 iot enterprise 26100.1 & my amd Ryzen 3 cpu is constantly heating up to 70-80 degrees & no matter what I do it just keeps heating up to 70-80 degrees for some odd reason. So, eh I will wait for the final release & go back to windows 10 ltsc 2021 for now. To see if maybe these weird heating issues are fixed.
The problem is that this is the "final" release. Just use server 11 build 26040/26052 or so if you want to mess with Win11 things.
Oh well darn I went back to windows iot ltsc 2021 & the cooling is back to normal in the 40's instead of hitting 70-86 C Then eh I would but never messed with windows server before lol
Running Windows 11 26100 on ReFS is running into various issues. OneDrive won't run on non-NTFS partitions (strange limitation); this is easy to bypass by creating a virtual disk (VHDX) with NTFS, mounting it in Windows 11, and pointing OneDrive to this drive. Another issue is System Restore / Protection; this one will just toss an error code, even after trying to disable the feature completely using Powershell. No biggie, I don't use the System Restore function at all.
If server is most stable than pro or LTSC build, is it possible to disable or remove server capacities to just leave the Windows and use it as a normal build??
LTSC isn't unstable, it has just some quirks here and there. I see you never installed a server OS in your life. There isn't anything to disable. Nothing is enabled by default. The only thing is defender that (unlike on clients) can be uninstalled from the GUI (and stay uninstalled during in place upgrades). The slightly more storage space needed by the optional components can be recovered with a single command, making Server OS not just less demanding than client, but also smaller on disk.
I just installed 2 or 3 times on virtual machines...do you have a link for a server build and for these tweaks? thanks
