<following along> Played around with this for the afternoon... very nice... even cleaner than doing the "English (World)" region trick. Interesting that "Defender" services are running.. but unable to launch the app. Even better that it allows the ability to "Uninstall" Edge..
Because it is not present, with leaving all apps out (only working for 22563 and later) at the UUP>ISO conversion you will encounter more problems when trying to open some files.
I deployed using winntsetup, and I disabled defender/UAC and paging file from its GUI. Yeah, that trick is a sort of "better than nothing" Oh, thanks I didn't notice that. I used the usual bau's script to nuclearize it, as I'm used to.
What Important features you're supposed to miss? There is always time to install something, when and if needed.
It's just MSFT not bundling the uwp appx with the standard UUP esd files, @abbodi1406 created the option to leave them out or set apps manually to be integrated for builds 22563 and up,
Please read the instructions again. Don't use the MS Setup program for deployment, step #3 mentions DISM/ImageX (native Windows ADK tools) and WinNTSetup (third-party tool, much more n00b friendly).
After the installation is completed, Wifi cannot be used, and after switching versions, Start becomes dirty again, and Chat on the taskbar also appears.
Not "fast", not any more "sane" by objective definition of that word that other better documented methods, not "superclean" or even 'super clean' -- very poorly documented, and very flaky outcomes as seen in the thread...
Feel free to follow whatever is basic enough to be understandable even by you. I never liked to spoon people who dont mind to employ few minutes to read even the simplest messages and for sure I don't start after such kind of pointless messages.
