after reading your comment, I checked, & yes, the control panel is not opening here too
Although, I don't use the old control panel so that's not an issue for me personally

Other than that, the devices & printer option is accessible from Windows settings.

It works!! thanks. But just with double click, selecting the shortcut / control.exe and enter key doesn't work.

With the Run function and type control panel and accept.
Also running cmd as administrator: C:\Windows\System32> control panel

Seriously, how does fixing taskbar break shortcuts?

"With the Run function and type control panel and accept."

It works, but in the second attempt.

    instead of stored locally

Control panel is opening via control.exe from C:\Windows\System32 directly, don't need to create shortcut,
it was not opening from the start search (that I wrote in my earlier comment)

And from there (control panel), if I click on device & printer, it open the device 7 printer section in Windows settings.

a shortcut is indeed for convenience,
but as I told you earlier, I don't use (old) control panel at all. just checked after seeing your earlier comment for the sake of 'testing'

Sorry for all the posting, if install tweaknow power pack, you can add control panel to right click which still works with a single tap

I had problems too opening mkv files with the new tabs in File Explorer, so I prefer this option disabled.

How do you uninstall this update without breaking stuff? prefer not to system restore as that always breaks stuff
