I noticed 22621.457 is now up (in full) on UUP, aka all languages' etc. Would this be the recommended version to go with going forward?
It works poorly, but it works, it needs to be launched twice. The first time, executing it does nothing, if you repeat it, the control panel opens
don't forget the part of fans being happy with the OS, and Microsoft rebranding it as a new OS to increase computer sales.
found another bug, i reinstalled the update and found that showing all folders and trying to use control panel in the navpane just crashes explorer The search function is missing from control panel, i think this is causing the issue Also you can keep new home.navpane and disable tabs only for fully functional explorer and control panel vivetool /disable /id:39145991
I have been on 22621 Release Preview since .1 and I noticed that Windows Explorer tends to stop responding for few seconds many times after which recovers. The hardware is an old Dell XPS and unsupported for Win 11, but still i7 with 16 GB RAM and 1TB SSD, so I would say good enough. Is the Windows Explorer temporary freeze a known issue for this version, or I should look elsewhere?
Time to launch Process Monitor then and try to pick some sort of issue as it is quite random. Maybe the first launch is more problematic.
22H2 22622.586, explorer.exe still crashes while copying/moving files from one tab to another. Go back to 22621 now.
i just checked this, from one drive in 1st tab 2nd tab downloads, copied just fine Tbh im over the tabs thing, i want it gone but keep the home Its not very practical after months of testing, i find my self using the traditional method almost always
