ah thanks guys... ill wait the iso then... i hate win 11 but need to have the updated iso for my customers.
Hello all, I once installed win 11 on a laptop that did not meet the specs. I don't get the 22h2 update (yet) does someone know if the specs issue is the cause of not getting the 22h2 update? And if so, does the script that i once used (auto installer/update) work in this case? > scriptmaker does not have update to 22h2 yet I guess this (hxxps://github.com/AveYo/MediaCreationTool.bat/issues/203) is not the way to upgrade to 22h2, anyone? Alright, thanks
Right-click doesn't work in Start Menu Apps. Clean install 22H2, ''Sfc /scannow'' show no errors. Any ideas ?
22H2 can currently mean 22621.674 with the new ISO like those posted above and on the previous page. And it can also mean the .675 update which was recently release-preview channel only with the Moment1 features set as enabled. (Now made public on the stable update channel as of two days ago?) And then it can be the beta branch .746 update with the associated enablement pack for Moment2 features and how it changes the build number to 22623.746 The beta branch updates in particular has a whole range of known issues as befitting their testing state, release preview has worked fairly well but some prior updates can if the user cleans them via the /resetbase command also break. Think I remember reading earlier in this topic or the update topic as well that there should be no mixing of the updates across these channels both the main update itself but also the servicing stack update which is split between .378 and .440 I think. Should only affect the update process though and if it works or starts failing, this here sounds more like some issue with the changes to explorer and the shell and related apps like the start menu for the tabbed experience. The November preview cumulative can't be too far away though although there is about a month to go before the usual scheduled monthly update cycle and what this might fix.
Error: 0x800f0988 trying to install KB5019509, guess I should give up go back to 10, lol weird, I used the delta update found here to go from 674 to 675 and that one worked, go figure, I dunno
I extracted the files from the msu, tried installing the update cab file, but the single delta file worked
You can disable the automatic updates w/o having to be draconian, disabling the wuau service altogether. Easiest way use winaerotweaker, and check the "disable windows update" option. This way no automatic crap is downloaded, but you can still install .msu files if you want/need
On my Alienware m15 laptop, I am still on 21H1, other than installing 22H2 directly from the USB I created using MCT, is there no way to have Windows update install this major update?
