Is Safely Remove Hardware icon disappeared for someone else too? It doesn't show anymore when plugging a USB device.
Still resonably fast for me just like the last build. Still not like Windows 10 but good enough. I do have a very fast computer though so maybe that is why.
For those using safely remove hardware but cannot get the icon to show can create a shortcut with rundll32 shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll . maybe its just a bug ....seems stupid if they intentionally removed it although ..you may find that it doesn't eject certain hardware, this is the case for me
How to hide this "related support" in bottom page of settings? Can't find any tutorial to hide this. Already tried using winaerotweaker by disabling ads in settings but it still showing at some pages in settings. No idea why this was not showing in my old laptop but it was showing in my new laptop Spoiler
This is bad, youtube and twitch have started freezing up, no driver updates ...only CU The cause of this was killer software running ..something as changed to make it act this way, i just uninstalled it
Nope cause it started off as the 1st release of it with the 226 versions so will keep continuing as normal
Sounds like your PC is unstable. Check your ram as that might be the cause because this does not happen here on a fully stable machine.
file explorer still shows lagging and freezing when moving folders around specially large file transfers on 22631.2048
I have been up on 22631.2048 for about 24 hours now, and I have not noticed any lagging in File Explorer. Then again, when I do large file transfers I tend to use Teracopy or Robocopy, Teracopy from within File Explorer, and Robocopy from the command line. With that said, I have moved around a few files and directories from straight File Explorer, and I haven't noticed anything unusual.
so theres no lag between the clicking of the mouse and file explorer opening? find that hard to believe . In ultimate power profile theres still slight delay Balanced profile is like half a sec .... before CU it was same delay as ultimate Pc isn't unstable, not had a single bsod on this machine since win11
When I click on the icon for File Explorer down in the bottom ribbon, it opens fairly quick. There might be a 0.1 or 0.2 second delay between the mouse click and the window opening, but not any more than that. I really haven't noticed any changes for such operations in all of the time that I have been running Windows 11, which is more than one year. I just now had to move some big files from one hard disk to another, 3 new iso images for LinuxMint to be precise. Source and target both spinning hard drives, 7200 rpm. I used File Explorer for one, and Teracopy for the other 2. I used Task Manager to observe the disk speed, and teracopy was more than twice as fast. But there's really nothing new there.
good question. someone should rename the title of the thread and include 23H2 once that release goes public next season in fall 2023
