I also became tired of the new File Explorer. I was moving to a new motherboard and cpu anyway, so I choose to do a clean install of barebone stock Windows 11 (22621.2134). The old install (22631.2129) came up fine, both the old and new hardware were quite similar. I tried to do an in-place upgrade using a mounted image of 22621.2134, but that was a no-go. So time for a clean install. I really hope they fix this new file explorer before they roll it out to production systems.
I found that using 4k alignement stops xbox app from installing games on the aligned drive , maybe it will be different for other ppl but be aware. Also with the bug present in the OS .. it wont make much of a difference
Are the other 32000 posts still accurate or updated? I showed you my experience with proof, have fun with it.
And I've shown you that it is only anecdotal proof with YOUR systems. That is the most that can be expected of you at this time. EDIT: Many of the webpages are current as of this moment.
I can't show proof for all systems, i can only show proof from my systems, as you asked for, remember? this always happens with you, the discussion starts in one way and next all gets changed, Conveniantly ignoring simple evidence. Nobody is spying on you (that's where the nonsense started). And yeah, ALL webpages filled with reports are updated, of course.
Just did a quick an dirty comparison on NVME Same machine, same SW installed (the performances are overall limited because the disk is connected to a PCIe 1x slot, but still some differences are evident) Did the same rest on a SATA SSD and differences are much more limited, so not worth to post them)
Ignore the nonsense. Ignore what you think is nonsense. This isn't about spying. This is about SSD/NVME performance. When I say "many" of the webpages are current, that is what I mean. It is ludicrous to sarcastically insinuate that I said "all" the webpages are current.
