Beta is truly living up to its name. In terms of pure white balance and gamma, it has gotten truly terrible and fonts and text look progressively bad as MS progressively optimises for smaller screens. I now plan to stick to Windows 10, windows 11 21h2. Plus canary to see if things have got better (unlikely given the direction). As to this beta, blank icon issue is not fixed at all in beta, dev, canary. Plus refreshing desktop gets icons back but as usual MS has to make a mess it up. It also changes my present desktop icon order on a random basis. So the choice is (a) see blank icons or (b) see proper icons but also then spend 2 minutes to rearrange your icons. All to no avail as after a few minutes, icons may go blank again, and then repeat. Total disgrace.
Just because MS says so, it is not fixed. It remains fixed in windows 10, 21h2 though. Thank the Lord for that.
any one have this issue ? in windows 11 22H2 22621 when i right click on a big size folder the explorer is crushes and restart
am on stable win 11. i faced when i try to install big fames also explorer hangs i can move mouse but cant do anything else. have to force shut down pressing power button. also installing is slower than on windows 10.
I take it that DUs are not meant to be installed manually (i.e. installed like .MSUs: double clicking); instead they are to be integrated in Windows images by tools like WIn10UI. EDIT: Never mind, looked it up. I just need to use DISM. Sorry for the bother.
Big update? It's just a tiny enablement package (like 19041-->19042), you can install it right now, if that makes you more comfortable
I have to agree with this one. I ran 22631 for several months, through several update cycles, and had quite a few minor but annoying problems. Mostly with File Explorer. Eventually, I gave up and went back to 22621.2134. No problems with that so far (knock on wood!).
