how would windows 11 run on an HDD? im tempted to install it this old laptop i have with unsupported hardware
Windows 11 runs on a HDD pretty much the same as Windows 10 on a HDD. Which is pretty much the same as WIndows 7 on a HDD. If you want to try it, go ahead, no one is stopping you. But if you want to enjoy the experienced, spend the $15 or $20 on a small, cheap SSD.
need help. unsupported hardware. i install windows using rufus to bypass restrictions. so i want to do some testing on virtual machine how can i make an iso with restricctions bypassed.?
The guide I gave needs ISO file (doesn't matter from Microsoft or other modifiers) .. from original Microsoft ISO you will everythinng from scratch including Hyper-V but other 3rd party ISO's I am not sure will they removed Hyper-V. RUFUS does support legacy MBR or UEFI mode of burning depending on CMOS/BIOS
i think you mean windows 8.1 because on windows 7 the os runs fine and snappy on hdd, only starting from windows 8.1 onward you will get 100% disk usage problem most of the time but it's not that bad, on windows 10 and 11 it's really so bad and so so so slow it's not really usable at all, ssd makes huge difference here.
