    I've scoured the release threads and all, but between .esd, .sfv files and all the various build numbers I get confused. That's a me problem. I'm a dumbass 100 percent. That being said , if someone could point me in the general direction, I'd be very grateful. I know the process for decrypting/unpacking esds or whatever I just don't know which is the newest (enterprise) version.

    Sorry for the rookie question y'all. I'm trying my best

    The dedicated win 11 226x1/5 thread/updates overview will show you that it currently is on 22621.2428 and optional on WU 2506 in the retail channel:

    Updates are not offered but recognised as installed and belonging to 23H2.
    One of WU quirks for .226x1 which will likely get sorted out after the official release of 23H2.

    WU stopped using ESDs since W10 v1709

    last ESD version offered for v1607 was v1803 or v1809

    How is Windows update going from 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3636) to Windows 11, version 23H2 ? CU would not match, would they ?
