Just little test , dont know if im going to keep it though installed while in beta channel with standalone package Swapped out around 230MB files
anyway to stop this services since tuesday update now copilot is in the taskbar and i disable it but it gets reeneabled ater a restart
Because its just testing out new stuff like betas and previews usually do major 1s are just like the 1s that are put on new machines going forward i.e the major 1 that was released recently
you will probably need to use policy to disable copilot, theres no start up entry for it, only edge as far as im aware theres is this option also, maybe check that
Yeah it’s a new CoPilot service in Edge that keeps Edge processes running all the time, even when closing the browser. I had disabled background process option and startup boost, and yet Edge processes would never close. I ended up using 3 or 4 different group policies for Edge until that CoPilot service finally went away for good. Now the browser processes actually close. It was also interfering with clearing cache as well. You can always count on MS for taking a great browser like Chrome and throwing heaps of garbage on it until it stinks.
