Yes, 105 makes sense, since it would have been silly to put out 160 a day after putting it into beta. I'm guessing though, that 160 is put into Preview (retail channel) later this month and then put out formally next Patch Tuesday.
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-11-hotfix-repository.83741/page-35#post-1740130 People already on Beta channel 22621.160.1.3 can't install this Release Preview 22621.105.1.7 update!!!
with 22621.160 i need to STOP beta guys/girls ? and back too RP ? or STOP received insiders build ? i ask for RTM to not make clean install again thank you !
When you're on Beta channel 22621.160.1.3 then just wait til the RP channel or Retail channels catch up with the Beta channel. Don't want all this confusion? stay on 22000.xxx till msft releases 22621.xxx to the public.
Under THIS PC, are the folders supposed to be missing? as part of the new navigation pane?. Only drives are listed. Im not complaining, just asking a simple question.
Yep, wise words indeed. I was one who wanted 22000 early and jumped in before it was officially released, and glad I did. Very happy with 22000. However, going early to 22621 just doesn't seem worth the trouble. Nothing really new that warrants going early. I can wait til 22621 is polished up in a few months
Not really what this is about, it's about people getting confused because MSFT released 22621.160.1.3 yesterday in the BETA channel (and most here jumped it) and today they release a lower build update to the Release Preview channel and to people who aren't enrolled into any channel (aka retail channel).
You won't get it offered unless you are enrolled into the Beta or RP channel on 22000. Only when 22621.1 or .3 or .4 is already installed you will get 22621.105.1.7 offered without any enrollment.
That could be a mistake or well maybe MS doesn't care cuz updates from RP are eventually gonna land in Retail.
ok, now that is mentioned, might jump to 22621.1 and just get the regular updates. Getting all updates and not having to enrol is the final hurdle for me.
This is the same behavior since MSFT started to do very early insider releases with 19041. Once that build was installed you got updates without having to be enrolled into any channel.
