Well I am stumped. Downloaded two other ISO's, and tried to update from within Windows 11. Still get the same errors. No idea why. Going to try a USB at start up and see how that goes

Well I found the problem why I cant upgrade to 22621 from 22000.

To sumarise my system is KMS activated windows 11 pro, with THE FIX applied to bypass the requirements as an older laptop. If I try to upgrade within windows 11, it will only allow the UEFI Bios Windows 11 Home, and WONT ALLOW you to save your settings. If i use a USB stick at boot, I can choose Pro, and save settings, Then I get an error that I am not entitled to the upgrade option to 22621 from the usb, and to do it within Windows 11. Tried this on three different ISO's, from UUP, M$ and here.

The key thing is I can do a clean install USB, Or Home within Windows 11, --- BUT---- neither allows me to keep my previous settings, the one thing I really want.

So at present for my system it wont let me upgrade. I have to either wait til a more upto date ISO that works, or a clean install.

 

I did my own successful upgrade 22000>22621 this way:

kms pro activated too, so i dont think kms nor uefi bios are the problem

 

The question is - did you keep all your previous settings, files and apps

and YES, as i said before it was a successful upgrade with no issues and keeped all my previous settings, files and apps.

 

ah well, I cant get that option to keep my settings. Unless some-one comes up with a reason why, looks like I will wait til the first official Public Iso.

 

yes i upgraded win11 2200 to 22621.1 successfully with keeping all settings and files

 

any method to undo vivetool configuration

i recommend no one use this vivetool which damage the windows explorer

 

.105 is for RP and Production/Release channel (No Insider) as the first official CU for 22621.1 RTM

.160 is for Beta insiders only for now.

I've updated both my work and personal laptops to .105 (No Insider) via WU without any issues.

Almost same here, after a reboot tabbed explorer disappeared and now there are two "home" buttons.
reverting that vivetool changes now.

 

used vivetool to enable tabs and no problems at all 22621.160

Or the TAB feature is 22621.160 (& up) exclusive
