I installed SSU then the EP and then .290 all through W10UI and I'm on 22622.290 with tabs. This was after being stuck on.160 because of cleanup. And yes I never learn because I cleaned up again lol
I don't get it, if both builds are on beta channel now then how we can choose which one to download in WU? we can't control it at all now this is so stupid, they could just push EP into beta channel only and it would be so much clearer what's going on upd: EP is optional in WU, okay but what's the point to get featureless updates in beta channel?
I just updated to 22621.290 from 22621.160 using W10UI. No problems, no hiccups, and I still have tabbed file explorer.
Just updated from 22621.169 to 22622.290 from windows update (joined beta channel using offlineinsiderenroll since my laptop is unsupported), but tabs on explorer dissappearing (previously was enabled using vivetool). Yesterday I was trying to disable tabs using vivetool but it was causing taskbar not loading and stuck on crash loop even I had reenabled them. Trying to disable it because the up arrow in explorer sometimes misaligned and also sometimes all apps suddenly crashing when I close an file explorer window. I think I would wait until tabs get enabled for all users in build 22621/2.
am currently on 22621.105, not an insider, so not enrolled on any RP/Beta branch, so no update offered. Is there any way to switch to the 22622? Without sign up as an insider or clean installation? Already tried installing the latest SSU & EP posted here, but as expected, nothing, still on 22621.105 & For those who've been using 22622, considering that's a beta branch, is it stable enough to use as a daily drive system? I mean like 22621? The only difference that I understand between, is the more new features will be coming on 22622 branch. But people mostly saying everywhere that they didn't get the SETS [TAB] on 22622, whether fresh installed or upgraded from 22621. At this point, which one will be released officially as Win11 22H2 branch? 22621 or 22622? More likely 22622 I presume.
Go out and start gardening? When you are scared run 19044 or 22000 or whatever build is officially released and not IP.
It was not optional for me: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...channel-ni_release.85327/page-61#post-1744038
It should be optional for those who've been offered 22621 can't check it though, my VM was updated to 22622 directly too
This was a running 19044.xxx>22621.1>22621.105>22621.160>22621.169 (by WU) and yesterday i got the 22622 EP + LCU offered on WU Beta channel.
Really strange. On Laptop 22621.290 with tabs. Enrolled in Beta channel and I got 22622.290. No tabs. On Desktop (unsupported hardware) updated to 22621.290 from 22.621.169 using W10UI and no tabs.
I think I know what 22622 in Beta Channel is for. Possibly testing a smaller update coming post 22H2 GA. As a few files are labeled SV2Moment1
It's clearly something like that. It already happened in the past too. 22621.1 still remains 22H2 RTM. 22622.xxx will just be an "artificial" build jump but in reality will just be a regular Cumulative Update which will get installed via Windows Update on top the same RTM at some point (even without being enrolled in any Insider program). Not a real/full build upgrade.
