That's good to know. I'm a little surprised that WU even gets that far for that path to exist in the first place. I thought it took one look at unsupported HW and didn't even start doing anything else, but apparently not.
I have a problem. Got ISO from UUPdump fix it with W11FIX_KiT with option 2, cause I already have W11, so I want just in-place upgrade. When I click Next to start upgrade and full blue screen with progress dots appears and 0% it takes maybe 5sec and it closes with error, "Installation of Windows 11 failed." Are there any logs where I can check where the problem is?
I have the same problem, did the same steps you did and get the same error…"Installation of Windows 11 failed."
Tried downloading the iso with UUP; it downloaded and created the ISO, but when trying to install it clean (Custom), it gives an error after selecting the disk to install to. I only selected Pro on UUP, and added additional for Pro for Workstations and Enterprise (the install error appears on both Pro and Pro for Workstations). First time I've seen this happen, but I never selected the additional images option before. I plan on doing 22000.132 and then updating.
I had this happen because I was using diskpart to offline my W10 and Linux drives before W11 installation (I didn't want it mucking my EFI partitions up).
i just downloaded the uup dump and then did the fix 2.0 works good. and i use offlineinsider and paused updates so i can still get store update
Installed 22449.1000, desktop bottom right shows "Evaluation copy. Build 22449.rs_prerelease.21-827-1350" Is that normal. Spent several minutes searching for this. I've seen comments in the past, but not currently.
Did they fix the Windows Hypervisor Platform bug that was preventing VMs created in other hypervisors like VMware or VirtualBox from starting on Ryzen 5000 systems? This thing: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/virtualisation-ko-in-22000-160.83999/#post-1684967
Hi guys, I rebooted my windows 11 insider PC and the taskbar for my main user account is empty. I can get the task manager up and run programs. I have another user account on the same PC and its working fine. Any ideas how to fix it? Anyone know the file name to get into windows settings/update etc from the task manager?
