My issue is as Espionage states but it put me on the Preview channel not beta and can't go back to the DEV Channel. Ruben mentions: "I had the same problem while clean installing this build. My workaround was to change the registry value corresponding to these settings from Beta to Dev.". Where in the registry and how did you do this?? I did a clean install with build 22449.. TIA Bill
update on this. i installed it using fix boot 2.0 with offline insider hack. then after it installed it did windows update it come up to download it again. went to 6% then said it said it installed successfully
22000.xxx updates are offered without being enrolled into any IP channel, some features will require a sign in though, what was your post an update on?
I used to do that, but most of the Windows isos I've dealt with lately needed NTFS because of the install wim being larger than 4GB. And Windows also has no native way of trying to dd a Linux iso to drives. Rufus does both of those and also does FAT32 where applicable for Windows isos.
Hi! Open regedit, go to Code: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\UI\Selection and change the UIBranch from “Beta” to “Dev”
Thanks for the info. I did find a reg file that switched my 22449 build from Preview to Dev. It works fine. I can't get into the insider Program on build 22000.176. I think it is because I used option 1 on the Fix Kit instead of option 2 like on build 22449, which by the way is on another hard drive. Since option 1 uses the Windows 10 boot, I think that is the problem. With option 2 since it is all Windows 11 I didn't have a problem.. Thanks again...
I went to the key you posted and the UIBRANCH line does not exist. I guess, once again it is due to me using option 1 instead of option 2 on the Fix kit..
