Clean installing the build solved the issue (for now). Was using the build in Brazilian Portuguese which was upgraded from 22000.434. Did a clean installation using the English US ISO... No more issues. Also the Widgets panel which was broken is working again. The Widgets button has aligned itself to the left of the screen now. So there's that: To avoid issues, use Windows Insider builds in their default EN-US language.
I thought that as well since i use it in italian, but even the language change didnt solve. Btw i dont feel like doing a clean install, hope they fix it somehow. Guess its some server side stuff since nothing changed in 24hrs after the update. Let us know if you get the bug again after the clean install!
To avoid using a different threat i'm going to ask here: I've installed Windows 11 Pro in unsupported machine and for some time i was getting the Insider Preview updates (Release Preview Channel). Since the release 22504.rs_prerelease.211112-1650 i stopped receiving any further releases. When i go to Definitions/Windows Updates/Insider Program i cannot change to any channel and it appear the message "Your channel options will be limited" how can i fix this?
This is normal behavior for unsupported hardware from the start. ps, 22504 is dev channel, not release preview channel.
It's caused by the language experience pack, removing them fixes Settngs app text bug and the flyout one too. It can be fixed with this command through powershell admin (i did it for the italian language but can be done with any other one): $LangList = Get-WinUserLanguageList $MarkedLang = $LangList | where LanguageTag -eq "it-IT" $LangList.Remove($MarkedLang) Set-WinUserLanguageList $LangList -Force
I did this and changed to DEV, also changed my system language to EN-US. Now i got access to download the next version, it' downloads but when it gets to install it checks the system to TPM 2, says it is not compatible, i apply the fix, do the update again and at 9% of the instalation asks me to restart. I do it and it is all equal as before and the same update is available and hasn't been instaled. I tried to update by using MediaCreation Tool but once it gets to the menu "Let us know if you want to keep or delete everything" the option to keep my files is not selectable, only forces me to delete everything. - So how can i overcome that and update by keeping my files? I've applied it but see above my issue.
i gather this build isnt safe for everyday driver? i know its dev build but i like to test in real world scenarios, seems these builds arent up to scratch at present.
You have much bigger issues, you should download the insiders dev iso, mount it and run setup (in windows) to repair whatever is broken.
