No, that's not a typo. According to our information, Microsoft will start preparing for Windows 12 in March. Ahead of that, they were already looking for employees who will then additionally support the team. SwiftOnSecurity also confirms this information. That doesn't mean we'll see a new Windows 12 tomorrow. It could still be delayed as you are (almost) starting from scratch. We can assume that the Windows 10 substructure will be said goodbye to completely. Windows 11 still has that substructure. In good German, this means that what you started with Windows 10 X to make everything new, will then really be implemented in Windows 12. It was recently reported that Windows 12 is already in development or work on it will start soon. But now it is clear that this was just a joke, at least from one source. Now even Satya Nadella is said to have spoken out. Microsoft famously claimed at the time that Windows 10 was the "last" Windows and that this version would only be updated constantly. In 2021, Windows 11 came out. Since then, of course, everyone expects Windows 12 to come sooner or later. How and when is still open, because there is currently information from a reputable source that Windows 12 is actually in the pipeline. But it's also clear that the report circulated by @SwiftOnSecurity that the source said Microsoft would already be developing Windows 12 and requiring "two TPMs" at the same time was a joke. After the media picked up on it, the security expert said: "I deleted that tweet, which was supposed to be a joke. I apologize for the confusion."

Why do people get so caught up in the name? It's all for marketing. There will be annual feature updates, whether they brand that as "Windows 11", "Windows 12", "Windows 365", it means nothing.
i believe is another MS grab for cash must likely win12 will only run on the latest and greatest HW so MS can push their samsung surfaces and make a killing.
Crap remains 'crap', no matter if its actually called 'crap'. MS lost their way long ago, unfortunately, and their time is now nearly done also. It is what it is Just like every other iteration, still says Windows 95/98/ME/7, in most places. It's rotten to the core, and needs re-written from the ground up. Will never happen now, so they can call it whatever they want, as it will still remain crap. I'll be long dead by Windows 16, hopefully. (which should only take 2 years at this rate)
question... if you decided to login with your microsoft account does it still lock you out of windows if you internet goes out? i.e. say your power goes out but comes on but your internet is out. does it still not let you login? that's one of the reasons i always do a local account. i don't want to be locked out of my pc because of that bs.
