Unless this bricked release is only bricked on purpose for them to be able to fix it (their test in this scenario) with an immediate release of an update.
I installed this release and I had all the problems reported. I tried rebooting, to no avail. I forgot about it (while it is connected) for few minutes, rebooted again, I don't know if it has updated something, but suddenly everything is working fine!!!
Digged into AggregatedMetadata, I found that Microsoft didn't include ModernApps ESD this time. Instead, they put many APPXs into the UUP file list. I've tried downloading those files according to the AggregatedMetadata. This is the reason that no Apps are included and Settings doesn't work out of box in this build. Hope they would change next time.
Back to 22000.527 stable build. Feels great tbh. Insider builds are too much cocking around by microsoft. Maybe I will jump into insider ring when a build with good outward facing changes drops.
I think this assessment is probably accurate. They sent out a deliberately flawed build to test whether they can fix it with patches instead of a full upgrade.
I cant post screenshot but in v22563.1, there seems to be a scaling problem at 125%. On opening any window or program eg NVIDIA Control Panel, the window has a black bar across all the 4 sides and the 3 top buttons are hidden in black. Restoring it to 100% solves the problem!!
open powershell as administrator, run "wsreset -i" without quotes of course. store shows up and settings are working
Can you give detailed information on this. Because settings, checking for windows update not working. Infact, nothing seems to work when I click on Start button.
tried it in VM and it works at first glance this command don't do anything, but after some minutes I've found out Store app in Start menu, Settings app is working now too
