Why do we have 2 explorer processes running?, i close one cause its not in use but comes back? Could this be the cause of explore crash at shutdown? Another thing is that task bar icons will randomly go small to fit the small task bar, but hovering over them returns them to normal size
Multiple Explorer processes are only activated when you check "Launch folder windows in a separate process" in Folder Options.
please give me the direct link to SDK Insider Preview – Build 22616. I have a constant error Code 715-123130 when requesting to download an iso. thanx
I have been here since 2010 and have seen the keen anticipation and a lot of craziness. Like a child salivating over a forthcoming candy. Seriously, (a) it will come when it comes (b) new releases in recent years have been a mixed blessing and can cause more problems than provide solutions (c) incrementally there is not much in actuality except from the usual MS hype faithfully copy/paste reproduced across tons of websites. In particular, the problems can be so serious that one is stuck between a stable but old, abandoned OS and a new shiny OS that brings a ton of problems. Recent case in point: Windows 10 to 11. For me, Windows 10 has been exceptional right from day 1 across 2 boards but now looks its age compared with win 11. So I move to win 11 and see the following main issues (not present in win 10 for the same setup): 1. Random crashes (critical process died) on AMD Ryzen 7 3700x and Gigabyte board. 2. Crashes in settings menu on a 10 bit monitor display. 6 times out of 10, settings opens and closes and so 20-30% chance of getting to what I want. Does not happen on 8-bit monitors. 3. Edge chromium crashes and see restore pages every few hours. The future is 22616.... and that has brought up a new set of problems: 1. Arranging folders in list view results in huge space in the first column. Details view is as before but hardly my preference and for a lot of people also. See screenshot. Nobody is mentioning it and cant see a fix on it. 2, ....... More to come as 22616 goes to.....
Yep, setting view on "List" create a huge space between the border and the files/folders. EDIT: Reported on Feedback Hub
Delete the Windows Defender folder via the Boot CD and everything related to Defender. In the folders C:\Program Files (x86) C:\Program Files C:\Users\....\AppData After loading Windows, clean the registry
