Yes, thats what I mean. The option to create an offline account wasn't showing. I only had the other two options to "sign in with a security key" and "Forgot my username"
Pro will always have local account available by selecting the "Setup for school or work" option. Sign in options > domain join > offline account.
Well, I‘m already done with reinstalling and setting everything up This time I‘ve set it up for school and work and it gave me the option to create a local account. Thanks
Just upgraded a VM thanks to the fix kit and Enthousiast. Besides this new Power Automate app, didn't notice anything new on this build.
There is another workaround too. In oobe account screen use either [email protected] or [email protected] with any random password. Since these are locked accounts by microsoft, login will fail and then you will get the option to create an offline account. Enthousiast's method is also interesting. I wasn't aware of that method.
Thanks for clarification. Well maybe I shouldn't have used the term method. What I meant was the instructions you posted. By the way I just tried the email method on build 22621.1 and it worked fine. Not sure about later builds.
I have Win 11 Home running on my computer. How to convert to offline account. I wouldn't re-install if possible. Thanks,
On my computer, PINCODE link is disabled/broken. Each click always returns to "Retry" or "Skip". I am using 21H2 (NOT 22H2). <-- corrected typo.
I tried that way. but PINCODE couldn't go through. hence always failed. (I also tried your way to upgrade to Pro. it worked, and I could get local account. I just wonder how to make Home local account) How to upgrade from Home/Home Single Language to Pro (or any other higher SKU)
