I'm also having the same issue. Another display related issue I've been having ever since the 259blahblahblah series canary releases came out. I have an RTX 2070 Super (laptop version). Getting to the point, I use a DSR resolution to display my desktop/everything in general. The problem is, the DSR resolution never 'manifests' itself at startup (after cold boots/restarts). It had always done so before recent said builds just fine, even before the login screen itself had fully loaded. (Probably right after the driver loaded) There have been multiple Nvidia driver updates since the 25900 builds rolled out... No dice. The display I'm using is external, connected via HDMI. At/after login everything is huge/out of scale because of the UI/text scaling settings I use to not make the higher res look obnoxious/illegible. I have found a very annoying workaround: Windows display settings still recognizes the DSR res sizes as valid. But when trying to change back to them, anything above the native max res attempts to change and fails. (I think it's trying to change the literal resolution rather than use DSR values) The only fix I've gotten to work is opening Nvidia's control panel to the change res page and disconnecting/reconnecting the HDMI cable from the laptop. This will allow you to select the DSR resolutions on that page and have them stick. If you try to do it without messing with the cable, it'll act the same as windows settings, if you mess with the cable on windows settings instead, it'll still not change the res properly. (as it could before 25900's. Also, probably unrelated but that LSA issue that tons of people were having on/off while MS fiddled around with jerry-rigged updates over several months. The one they supposedly put to bed once and for all recently? Well that issue popped up for me (for the first time ever) at the same time as the DSR issue, but also at -exactly- the same time MS was claiming they had finally vanquished it for everyone. Only the annoying LSA dialogue box at login though, no issues whatsoever in security center. It returns with -every- new build install now though. Irrelevant as to whether you check the 'don't pester me' box or not. Apologies for the uhh... doctoral thesis length of this I just like being thorough. Was wondering if anyone else was having any DSR issues in the 25900 builds or any weird Nvidia RTX issues pop up specifically related to the 25900s. Also, the LSA issue. Anyone had new or continued issues since 25900 or the associated (claimed) LSA update fix was released? Just looking for clues to see if maybe somebody else has come up with better solutions than I have.
Had a long strange trip getting this installed. WU did not offer it. UUPs refused to download until I disabled my VPN connection. Download always hung on Windows. Client.WebExperience Installed perfectly without any need for intervention from ISO. Running a 4th Gen Corei7 with TPM 1.2. If WU did not like the hardware, I don't know why the installer was fine with it. I have the occasional issue with icons and the broken Windows Intelligence update, but everything else seems fine.
