yes, because we might get the same error in future Canary builds (on Canary Host OS), I see no reason why HighEntropy shouldn't be disabled if possible
I always disable everything available in the Windows Defender UI and have never had a problem with it for many years but one thing called CFG is breaking WSL, VM can't start for some reason if it's disabled so I think you can disable all mitigations that available in Windows Defender except CFG
Is't because i disabled BottomUp too? or the whole cmd process needs restart to take effect? or it's not getting disabled? verifying...
my guess is this is the reason I'm checking it again with regedit opened upd: can't find dismhost in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options so it wasn't disabled
I have enstalled this build onto my pc, same as everyone else problems with samsung drivers but for my mobile, it found my samsung m.2 though, I also have a major problem with my asus motherboard drivers as well, this controls my main fans, bios updating ect ect none of it working, I will wait for the next build but if it does what this build has done then microsoft can shove windows 11 where the sun doesnt shine and off I go to windows 10
I have been finding it difficult to update both canary and dev from 26040 onwards. My system is Ryzen 7 3700x on desktop with all drivers updated from in place Canary version. On invoking windows update and download, all goes smoothly, and it prompts for restart. However, it installs to 48 or 60% and then restarts. Then it hangs with a frozen round process circle and nothing happens forever. No boot, no message of failed install, nothing. The only way out is to hard shutdown, and after that it reverts to the earlier version. I presume many others have been facing the same problem. Is there any workaround or preparation required beforehand or has there been no such issues reported??
They mention in the release notes for the last build that they are "looking into reports" of those failures. I too have the same issue.
Fresh install is not an issue but then cannot be doing that every week. This is happening on both dev and canary. And the new look is quite bad at formatting and preparing the system disk.
