To me it looks like the problem is with some of the virtualization software. The vbox test is done on very similar hardware as the VMware test with both x64 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC as host, the test on real hardware is bios only.
Indeed, the only problem with the latest builds (28000/25H2) I had was due to removed Terminal, which forces CMD to run minimized at all times, unless ALT+ENTER+ENTER is pressed. I solved it by switching to CMD and not removing Terminal.
I totally agree. This Win11 Build is until now the best among all currently available ones for my GEEKOM-A7 Mini-PC with a modern AMD Chipset. After having done a clean install of the OS the PC runs very stable and performant. Nevertheless there are still some tiny bugs I have recognized: 1. As you can see here, the SystemFileChecker (sfc.exe) finishes its work after the first 7% of the files with the comment "The Windows Resource Protection couldn't execute the requested action": 2. The "Native NVMe SSD Support" by using the in-box driver named nvmedisk.sys didn't work (not even after having executed the related regedit tweaks). 3. The specific "Google" icon is not shown within the bookmark lists of any browser (this is a bug of all recent Windows Operating Systems I have run).
This is how it all started. Evaluation copy. Build 29531.1000rs_prerelease.260206-1841 sfc /scannow fails at 7% stating Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation. Looking over the windows tree of life. Come to find out that my winSxS folder is gone. Performed a in place upgrade. And that worked, at that time I ran sfc /scannow. this time it completed 100%. Ran DISM commands to reset base image just in case also created a system shadow copy. Next reboot I noticed that my winSxS was gone again. Fist thing try and run sfc /scannow once again 7% then failed. Went to try my shadow copy. The shadow copy is not available. Now I'm getting mad. Back to the MS tree of life and noticed that I have a sysWOW64 and I still don't have my winSxS folder. It wouldn't be so bad but I need to do things that require the winSxS folder. Time to walk away from this MS s**t for a few hours. Anybody out there know whats up?
great as a virtual/vmware test image if so inclined or have many laptops/desktops to test on as spares
