So it won't be today. If nothing comes out by 10 AM Seattle time... Nothing comes out that day. Yep. Looks like they switched to a Thursday-only release schedule for the Dev Channel.
When they start pushing out IP patches there is no fixed frequency then they can push patches at every moment and date.
What's the usage of WMC in 2021 feels like, though? You meant to say in a web browser. That combo still saves in Notepad, for example.
Exactly like it was in 2004 or so. It's still the best way to watch the TV, record it, and access to your library of ripped DVDs or downloaded movies. Sadly likely the next TV standard evolution (which starts in autumn in my country) will kill WMC for good. something that MS tried to do for yeas, unsuccessfully.
Well, new builds for Xbox just came out... This tipically means a PC build is soon to follow. Normally the following day.
You know what is the problem of Microsoft as a company? Cannot make up their mind!! This is the reason why we have win32 UI and UWP UI Control panel classic vs NEW modern UWP control panel, having 50% of the things of the classic, even though they have since 2015 trying to migrate!! Dual architecture x86 and x64, when in 2021, 95% of the apps are 64 bit also!!! Now comes W11, and guess what? Duality keeps deepening. Now we have dual context menus, because they are not able to fully migrate (at least till now, but the rel.date is oct 21!!!) I think the ISO of windows is minimally 40% crap and useless things. They fail to make things on demand. Even their antivirus is not on demand, as if everyone MUST have an antivirus installed!!! Yeah there are no machines out there with no connection to other resources in the internet and that make critical things. That is why some billboard computers use XP in the background... because its the most barebone thing Microsoft ever offered in the last 20 years!!! And yet they still fail to understand: "Simplicity is the highest sophistication" Da Vinci Just why they don't clean up their software from crap and make that crap at least on demand, like they did with .net 3.5!!! But of course this message will never reach any employee of Microsoft
Duality and backward compatibility will always be a thing on Windows, as it's an OS meant not only for consumers but for most business and corporations around the world which must rely on a pletora of different software and usage scenarios. UI inconsistencies are a very minor "issue" compared to stability, security, performance and general compatibility of the OS. With Windows 11 they're really trying to also have a good looking UI/UX on top this time around at least (even if, personally, I think they already did it with Vista on this regard).
for anyone who cares about having the new microsoft meeting chat on their taskbar it is hidden in vivetool...its addconfig 31371065 2
W95 maybe had less features than the current windows, but at least was more robust and solid. I agree with you!
