What in that article could be more confirming than the original and official blog update, on which that whole article is based on, did?

Sounds like they're planning on dropping a new insider build in the next couple weeks.

They need to give people enough time to actually process the change and make the switch. I'd give it 2-3 weeks approx. Maybe even a month.

Oh right I forgot Microsoft's "Soon" tipically means 2 weeks to a month LOL.

Oh ok. I thought any of the windows 11 dumps (22000.57, etc) from uupdump put you automatically in the dev release considering the dumps are not final.

Why they postponed a dev build so much? After all it contains just fixes and eventual improvements to UI.

They just copied 22000 to the beta branch. They need to give people time to learn about the news and make the choice to switch. They'd have upset people if they announced it and pushed a new build in a week or less. People can be on vacation or otherwise busy. They need to give at least some adequate amount of time for people to respond to news and changes.

I think they might still continue with cumulative updates for both channels for 2 more weeks and after that, the dev channel will receive an entirely new build.

Beta does not have Team installed, compared to Dev. See a few page earlier the link posted to Microsoft blogs

Yep, but not of the co_release branch.
Still Windows 11, but probably co_refresh for next year release.
22000.xxx will remain the final build of Win11 release on Beta then RP ring instead, just continuing receiving CUs until GA CU in October, like I imagined.

What will happen now with unsupported PCs that Microsoft allowed to remain in the Dev branch as a gesture of "courtesy" for a while? And now if we attempt to install a build on a unsupported PC we will get always the incompatibility message. I hope new fixes to this issue will be available soon.
