When it asks for PIN (or Password), after inserting it I have to wait 5-6 seconds (on VMWARE) in order to change screen to desktop, while before it was almost instantaneous. Yes, same version of mine. My hardware specs are not changed (AMD Ryzen 9 5950x, 32 GB RAM, NVMe......) and when I tried previous builds it was fast. Now since .100 and with .120 I'm experiencing the issues reported above.
You probably were on the dev channel (considering you mentioned that before,) or manually upgraded by ISO, retail channel/public didn't get 22000.xxx offered.
I don't use PIN or password in VM so can't comment. I forgot to add that my VM's are on an SSD, I assume yours are too? Wow, beast of a CPU - very nice. I have a 3900x. What do you do, video editing/encoding or such like, or a gamer? Sorry I'm going off topic!
Anyone come up with a tweak to add command prompt and /or powershell to start right click? My cpus only has 8 cores 16 hyperthread and it comes 3rd in photoworxx benchmark, second place is the threadripper 3970x with 32 cores, 1st place is a 20x Xeon E5-2660 v3 HT, amd arent good for editing. Probably the 5950x would be 11th as the 5900x is 12th. Just trying to point ppl down the right path for pc builds.
the yellow marked one is my build. Is only running stock turbo @ 4500mhz, She gets gets toasty if i overclock. Win11 runs really well for an old cpu too
News and Interest Taskbar Widget not working anymore with new build. Last build it showed up just in blank and now not even opens. Is there a new fix to get Windows 10 Startmenu back? I read that M$ blocked the Registry trick to enable it.
He probably upgraded via ISO. Once upgraded all CU released so far for Win11 were actually offered on retail/public channel too (.120 included).
Don't forget that this place, until a few years ago, was very popular between people who blindly trusted the first user who gave them exclusive news or leaking iso (that's why I remember the story of canouna a few pages ago). So your request will not be much helpful to you, I'm afraid. :-/
I can't replicate that, but did anyone notice how when you right-click a folder or file on desktop twice, it will show you the desktop context menu instead -- this is not so on other versions of Windows (it is, of course, respective to the new right-click menus).
Hi. I got the Cumulative Update for Windows 11 (10.0.22000.120) (KB5005188), but it fails to download with the error: Download error - 0x80040154 I tried pausing the update service, deleting SoftwareDistribution folder in Windows directory, restarting but it didn't work. I also tried running SFC, which gives me an error: Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service. I even tried running "dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth", which gave me error: Error: 0x80040154 Class not registered Any ideas how can I install this update? Will I be able to install using iso downloaded from uupdump without loosing my settings and data?
