It appears that a new developer has taken this project over. The latest nightly was 4.4.169 and was never updated on Github.
Ditto! I tried it last night but no matter what I couldn't get it to apply. Binned it and reverted to Start11, better IMO. I've always used Start10 from Stardock so I suppose I favour it. Start11 Screenshots in this post.
Just got the Microsoft Store 22108.1401.9.0 update. What is so new about it?? Does it allow you to download and play Android Games? What??
Finally A BIG Store update and has the option to see installed apps... this took long Hopefully the upcoming windows 11 build will have new features and more polished
Well, at least there is that. And to be fair, Direct Storage could be there as well just in dll format like the rest of the directx files. I couldn't test it if I wanted to. I don't have the hardware for the job. It requires a 1tb M.2 drive and I don't even have 1tb sata ssd lol.
I always use startisback++ on win10 vm as host os always be win7 ultimate simplixed updated. mostly users say openshell is much better but i havent tested it.
As I recall, before Windows 10 RTM there was a series of Release Candidates. These were strawmen. Eventually they got to the point of settling on the best Candidate and called it RTM.
Nobody calls anything RTM after 10240.16384 was released, only @murph78 recently reintroduced the term.
It's hard to know if MSFT will follow the same roadmap this time as they did with Win 10. Again as my faulty memory recalls, they had a big presentation day in October and Steve Ballmer came hopping out on the stage yelling to the crowd about how excited he was. That was when they announced the release of Windows 10. They wanted it in final form in time for computer manufacturers to include it in new computers to be sold for Christmas.
