Windows 11 still on Windows10 KBs funny also notice some Windows 11 apps like remote desktop connection show version 10.10 a step up from 10.9 of Windows 10 19044.1200
And what stops people getting the dev builds via uupdump if they want to anyway? Nothing as far as I'm aware...
This does seem to work fine, I got updates installed without issues. But if we stay out of the insider program it looks like we do not get new apps and stuff? I still have the old store etc
I just finished building a new Win11 Rig w/ a 9th Gen Intel CPU. What is happening now after tweaking the BIOS so it would boot to the Boot Manager I now get this message after the PC post 9attached) Besides that I now have to reactivate all my OSs on that Rig since they notice new hardware. Edit: So far 1 W10 needed reactive & 1 didn't on same rig..
Microsoft is kicking ineligible Windows 11 PCs makes sense Would you put cheap GAS in your Ferrari...
Can you explain what you mean? Are you saying that you get some performance benefits on newer builds of Win10 compared to the older versions that LTSC are based on?
MS has always had various issues on and after updates and releases for their useless overpriced surface devices and constantly put out special fixes and firmware and driver updates for their stuff time will tell and we go on but to all that only have 1 device then be careful if it is older than 8th gen as you always need atleast 1 stable working device running fairly headache free unlike us techies with 4 or 5 laptops, desktops, tablets and phones old and new to tinker with
Trouble is, that 'gas' still has fumes, and ready to burn for a further few years, regardless of whether it was cheap or not, and the 'end user' should be the one to decide the fate of that, not MS
+1. I have a Thinkpad T470P laptop with 7700HQ CPU. Lenovo doesn't provide dch drivers for intel & nvidia display, but I can get the latest dch drivers form intel and nvidia, they work quite well. And I'm on Win 11 dev channel, no blue screen happened till now.
watch out they claim it could cause damage to your computer if you install it on unsupported hardware and maybe invalidate your warranty lmao.
Windows 11 is about ready like it or not you can download the iso from windows insider you don’t need to download the full Windows 11 ISO each time there is a new update. Once you flash the latest WIndows 11 22000.168 ISO, you should start receiving incremental OTA updates from Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program whenever there is a new version available
Once it is released to public will all we have to do to have absolute control over windows update is disable ftpm in the bios and then updates won't be installed?
Nah. Updates will still install. MS will rather self destruct than hand you any control over their operating system.
