any way to choose when optional driver updates get downloaded and installed? I keep getting after windows cu installed the same intel gpu driver 30.0.100.9687 when i already updated to latest beta 30.0.100.9862
New Redesigned Update like Paint, Notepad, and Photos app won't be 21H2 Build 22000.1xx for Insider. Redesigned Apps is part of Nickel Build or maybe GA version on October 5th. Already new updated Snipping Tool from .132 and Clock app from .160 in Insider Build of 21H2.
Well unless they outright state that internet access is required to use the product and make that clear on the all advertising and packaging, it will not be good enough. Burying conditions in a EULA is not enough to stop a class action lawsuit.
lol if windows 11 came out in 2001 with people having dialup or dsl..... granted would have to go to store to buy windows but internet access after installing windows. waiting for onedrive and widgets to load on dialup
Yet another pathetic changelog... They are holding all the real fixes away from us. I'm hope there will be some huge update with hundreds of fixes just as this goes official.
It's a strange idea to keep all your fixes away from your beta testers... MS has rather the rack record for releasing fixes which cause severe issues in the wild. Guess we can see why.
You know what they say ? All toasters toast toast. ...and that we havent seen anything close to the final Windows 11 System...
I did a clean install yesterday with build 22454.1000. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z590 Vision-A. Windows installed without any problems. Then all of the Microsoft updates were installed without any problems. I installed the Intel Driver Support Assistant and installed all the Intel drivers that it found again without any problems. Finally I installed the Gigabyte App Center. It searched my computer and showed a list of drivers and utilities that it thought should be installed so I installed all of them. Then I rebooted and Windows got stuck on the screen with the little white worm going around and around. It would not get past that screen. Nothing I tried got passed it. So I did another clean install but did not install any of the Gigabyte drivers and utilities and so far everything is working OK. I post this to alert others that they may run into the same problem with their computer. I notified Gigabyte and hope they will have updated drivers and utilities ready on or before October 5th. Other computer manufacturers may also need to update their stuff but the question is always how far back they will go. One year? Two years?
hi, why does gigabyte have to "release" drivers ?, it does not produce a single chip, chip or microassembly, it just solders it all, you need to ask INTEL, REALTEK, NVIDIA and tdu, by the way, they already have all drivers with Windows 11 support, if you go outside and ask a passerby... and what year is it today? - he will answer 2021, and now the question. who installs software and drivers from motherboard sites in 2021 ? to do this, there are websites of chip manufacturers and hubs, or the STATION DRIVERS website, even schoolchildren in Russia know this site
You're essentially arguing that it's 2021 and everyone has internet. That is false. Not only does everyone not have internet, but many corporations do not allow access to the internet on purpose. The ability for an operating system to function without internet is essential. If your operating system only functions with it's ability to receive constant patching, it is a pathetically bad operating system.
I am glad that I dumped this POS board and switched to MSI Z590 Gaming Wifi 6E. Now I have zero issues and my PC boots faster. After their powersupply fiasco, I am not touching Gigabyte again.
That's a shame. 10+ years ago Gigabyte made extremely solid motherboards. I have one I built a system around 14 years ago and it's still running. From Windows XP to Windows 11 without a ever having a hardware failure or bsod. So MSI is still good now? How about Asus boards?
MSI motherboards have always been good to me. Gigabyte boards don’t do GOP resolution if you boot from bootable USB.
Sorry i could not follow Windows 11 builds news lately What is the difference between 10.0.22454.1000 and 10.0.22000.176 ? Why did they release 2 builds for Windows 11 ? Which one should i download and install ? Thanks
