I sure can say windows 11 is very confusing finding things way different then the 1st leak which was a lot of Windows 10 this build is sure the true core of 11
Has anyone come across how to change the short date format on the bottom right hand corner from M/d/yyyy to yyyy-MM-dd e.g. from 6/29/2021 to 2021-06-29. It seems to work if I use RTL language. Alas, different calendar !!
Just to be extra clear, in regards to Enthousiast's Win_11_Boot_And_Upgrade_FiX_KiT_v1.5, do I have to apply step-1 and then step-2? I thought they are options... so either go for option-1 or option-2? I did create an ISO using option-2 and successfully used in a VM, though have not tried "in-place" upgrade on bare metal yet. Thanks a lot.
Not when I DLed it but after I ran a AV check & looked at the files I was satisfied it was safe, that's all. It did work & happy I finally got it installed after many attempts using straight installs & others advise all that failed.
To enable Secure Boot i need to choose either Windows 8 or Windows 8 WHQL, what should i choose is there any difference? (Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H) Also should i enable Intel TXT?
You could try to plop Win11 install.wim in Win10 iso and install with that. I did not enable SecureBoot, installed via MBR, no TPM, etc. Works fine.
It does not matter, you can enable 8 WHQL and TXT. There is a work around both in case you have an issue.
I get that "Joke", others maybe dont... So, why trick people into believing its a coin-miner hidden in UUP downloads ? Not nice... (?)
try deleting your display driver and use whatever generic one loads up in its place. I have an intel hd 4000 or 3000 or something and it seems like the newer intel drivers will break widgets but whatever crap loads in its place will work
I wish there was more transparency throughout the OS, or option to increase it... It's very subtle. Also only thing with transparency is the app in front, everything in background becomes non transparent. Miss Windows 7...
A LOT of stuff is still there, but hidden away in unfamiliar places. Right clicking the Windows icon in the taskbar still brings up an advanced menu, which I liked. Even the settings icon is hard to find.
Me too... they could definitely do with some more glass. When installing Win11 without proper graphics drivers the corners of windows are square, so it is akin to "aero" in that sense, with the difference that on Win7 the corners remained rounded even when not in aero mode. If they could provide the option of blurred transparency like they have for modern UI elements in explorer windows as well (not to mention title bars etc) it would really be awesome but I don't think they'll go that far.
