The difference is futile. You can't downgrade, clean install, or roll back if 22471.1000 was an upgrade from the install you want to go back to.
Did you read what he said here; He is on 2247.1000 so no other way to go back to the public releases is clean install. Or rollback if it was an upgrade from the install he wants to go back to.
Hi folks, dont blame me if Im posting in the wrong thread. I´ve used the latest 4 Win 11 Pro Insiders buillds of which at 3 via Windows Update, and they installed UPGRADING the previous ones. Now I got the General Release one via UUP Dump coz WIndows Update didn´t give me nothing, and tried 3 install options: 1) Flash drive using ISO mounted via Rufus 3.16 Beta (MBR / NTFS) - Direct boot 2) As above but using Setup.exe from my Windows 11 3) Setup.exe taken from unzipped Windows 11 ISO file No one of these options allow me upgrading, just clean install. I did a backup copy of previus buld (alrready customized) using Macrium Reflect server 8.x I got on a Sergei Strelec flash drive, and furthermore I backuped the registry, the Open Shell Start Menu config and the Start Menues folders. Nonetheless I`d like to know if there´s a way for upgrading instead to clean install (that I dont even remember if it deleted just my Windows partittion or the other ones as well). Hope you shall be of any help, Regards.
When you were running 22000.xxx that was updating. For the other stuff, fix the ISO by whatever tool you desire and mount the ISO and run setup.exe, keep internet disconnected to avoid appraiserres.dll replacement happening.
I tried clean install with retail non modified ISO, activated with windows 10 key directly during installation.
Tx for replying. I see it not so easy, so I´ll take a break, then once tried the suggested steps I´ll be back to you, iin any case. Take care. Regards.
Aye! Clean install is the best option but he also has to leave the Insider Preview not to repeat the same process.
Okay. We are begging the question here because we are saying the same thing. We are on the same page here though.
