Out of curiosity - I recently saw an (obvious) homebrew image on a torrent tracker, where the advertised build was .600(highly doubtful and it did come out as .65) and one of the editions that came out upon /get-imageinfo was a Pro Single Language index. Now, has anyone else actually seen this index? And I do mean legitimate, not some homemade reconstruction.
The SKU is Official, and mostly sold via OEMs. There's also Pro Country Specific (China). It's not just Core / CoreConnected having these few $ cheaper variants. In a homebrew is obviously stay-away material.
I might misremember seeing it as a cheaper localized pro version, with oem-retail keys. But it's there in 10 and in 11, even if ms scrapped it at some point - not something reconstructed.
Linux on Windows functions well , but it seems to hog quite on memory. Even after closing the terminal, but not so sure about it, just testing occasionally.
ProSingleLanguage and ProCountrySpecific are only placeholder SKUs ATM. They are there, but have only one single key each (ProductKey range is 1). If and when they will be activated, is unknown. What is actually sold are the CoreSingleLanguage and CoreCountrySpecific SKUs. Those are active.
Downloaded from @LostED mirrors. Code: "HTTPError: Forbidden\n at responseErrorThrower (worker.js:195:32)\n at async onGet (worker.js:2772:23)\n at async handleRequest (worker.js:3038:46)" Swapping gateways worked, i didn't know you can do that...
There's something different under the hood in these 22000.318 isos. They're a bit larger and when integrating cumulative files on top of the existing MS cumulative files, they produce larger result files by a decent amount. To elaborate, I made 4-index core/n/pro/n versions of the .258 and .318 isos as baseline images for Win10UI integration pass upgrades. This is more to satisfy my own curiosity than a recommendation. Well, I put the .345 SSU, kb5006363 net update, and KB5007262 (22000.346 LCU) in the win10ui and ran the process for my .258 and .318 versions and the .318 version result is larger by 225mb. The untouched files are also larger, which is strange. I'm not saying it's cause for alarm. I'm just pointing out that something is different with the under the hood stuff. Edit: to point out the obvious, the difference between the release and updated oct version was 11mb where the diff on these from oct to nov is 56mb. It's much greater a difference in my 4-index versions.
Unsure if related or not but made a new uupdump iso for .346 the other day and did notice it being significantly larger, too. Around 6.2 Gb iirc. EDIT: 6.13Gb
22000.1 + SSU/LCU didn't really change, in my projects. I wonder if the way the updates are processed by dism matter more with the SSU you start with than the SSU you add. Like perhaps the first few SSU all use the same GUID signifiers and thus keep the file sizes smaller, but now they are changing it somehow and it is ballooning the results if you combine them in a certain way. For instance if you start with older SSUs and then combine with the latest (345) you are fine, but if you use the one included in 318 it won't be. Just a hunch. I've been very wrong about this stuff before. I'm curious is all.
Possibly just some weird quirk at the time with it just being available so will retry it at some point but remembered it happened when murphy78 said that. EDIT: Just done a fairly straight Pro/Edu iso from uupdump again and its come out around 5.5Gb. Still seems bigger than prior to the last few updates.
