That's when I installed it 3 days ago .434, 19044.xx was my moms install a few days ago as well. Before that was a few more clean installs. I clean install ALL the time. I'm very OCD. My point is Windows 11 boots and installs just fine on UEFI systems. But clearly I'm mis-understanding Enthousiast because I'm positive he knows how to install an OS.
I use NTLite to integrate the updates and I also turn off the Windows Update service. I than Apply to an ISO. Once finished I use Rufus to make my USB boot stick.
At least in my case, the image is generated from UUPdump (22000.466) . Creating a generation 2 virtual machine in HyperV, the ISO created installs perfectly.
So, basically you are "upgrading" an earlier ISO instead of creating a new 20000.434 ISO via UUP Dump or any other way... Anyway, i can confirm that a fresh new 20000.434 ISO created via UUP Dump, using Rufus to create a bootable USB, boot fine in an old (i5 4430) "real hardware" only uefi system, but the same ISO using Ventoy wont boot.
can upgrading from 434 t0 466 be done via the upp files on a uefi system without the boot error Thank you as anyone tried this yet
It's not dev channel level insider preview, it's early access, next week the non security updates will be released (now called Preview on catalog andor Optional in WU), sometimes it's the same one as the rp version and sometimes it's an entirely new one. When you have 22000.xxxx already running, then there is no problem, you can simply apply the updates online.
Just a FYI, I'd like to report that .466 is a drastic increase in the OS responsiveness and usability. Feels good!
I'm running Windows 11 Enterprise, 22000.434, and having pretty good luck for the most part. But I am having one minor problem. The setting for "show hidden files" keeps getting reset to off, or "don't show". This has happened twice in the last few days. No reboot during that period (uptime is at 5 days +). And yes, I am remembering to "Apply to Folders". Anyone else noticed this?
