I just updated my External SSD to the .556 Totally happy the External (plug-in) SSD will update even though my PC isn't qualified to run W11. I wonder how long that will last
had my first 2 crashes on win 11 since upgrade, 1st was related to nvidia, the driver package gets corrupt on every cumulative update for some reason, the 2nd was due to corruption after the 1st in indexing. This is the culprit nvlddmkm.sys. Seems you have to remove the nvidia package and reinstall to fix it after each update, not sure if its global or just me. Have a look in event viewer for nvlddmkm
i have no problems with an Gefore GT 730 and the latest drivers that support that card (472.98-desktop-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql)
Maybe its just my system, have no idea why its happening, Unless its the latest driver and defender conflicts
ok but... you're talking about "another" thing the Reset option in Windows 10/11 helps the "normal" user to have a clean Windows installation without the need of much knowledge about pc. using an external software, like Parted Magic, means you have to know that software, download it (and it is not free), put it on disk or flash, boot it, run the right tool Erase Disk and after that reinstall Windows from zero. yes, probably it is the best solution if you want resell your personal pc, but it's not for everyone
Why would a simple format or partition deletion and repartitioning at windows setup (by ISO) not be enough to remove the files?
