If they really wanted to be awkward, they could just start releasing Cumulative Updates that might be unstable or not work at all on said hardware, and then just say 'you were warned' when machines were bricked by the updates.
Its a nice thought, BUT wont happen. The big danger that M$ would be a fool to try this is simple (and has happened in the past), is the real likehood and eventuality this will also capture legit owners and others not targeted by this measure. Especially businesses. So its far too risky to even try this, on numerious fronts Then again M$ have done some dumb things in the past, so who knows.
Updated the Win 11 (22000.593.1.11) Updates Overview: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...d-22000-xxx-pc-co_release.83722/#post-1669627
No idea why but I don't have that new watermark on 22000.593 build I don't have TPM at all and my old CPU is Intel i7-3770k Other requirements are met (16 GB RAM, UEFI, Secure Boot)
Yeh, it was said by many it was to be there, BUT my upgrade on an old machine also has it missing. ANYONE getting the NAG MESSAGE or WATERMARK after the update
11yrs old i5 2500k 2nd gen system updated to the latest build no nagging msg or watermark anywhere here in this system after updated to the latest LCU
unlike W10, W11 doesn't have the feature where any file/folder/document stored in local disk drive, can be easily found while typing & searching directly from the START? Is that feature been depreciated or I am missing something?
I use Windows 10 Enterprise and quite happy with it, I'm trying to make to upgrade to Windows 11 Enterprise version as well. Followed the instruction kindly explaied by @Enthousiast , downloaded the latest version from UUP by @whatever127 and I got this My question is, this version comes with a bunch of Consumer Apps like XBox and others! not like Windows 10 Enterprise, any exceplanation for this?
The edition without any apps except Settings is Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, not just Windows 10 Enterprise. Such thing doesn't exist for Windows 11 yet.
Thank you @luzea for the clarification and excuse my using the wrong terminology. So I guess the only option I have now is to settle down with this version and manually clean it.
That is correct! I'm on enterprise and the only apps I use I have kept on the OS. I have used NTlite for offline removal
