The red one is the index name and the blue one is the sku flag. No, MVS ISOs don't have install.esd files.
Hi all, Does any know if I resetbase my image and then Microsoft releases a new LCU and service stack update do they replace my current ones or do they get installed in addition to my current ones since I resetbased my image?
resetbase removes the superseded components. The new LCU always will replace the old one, ssu doesn't.
So does this mean after couple of months there is going to be several service stack updates installed since old ones cannot be removed?
I have a strange problem. After installing windows 11 in Vmware Workstation and issuing the command SFC /SCANNOW windows finds corruption in bthmodem.sys Code: 2022-05-18 12:45:13, Info DEPLOY [Pnp] Corrupt file: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\bthmodem.sys 2022-05-18 12:45:13, Info DEPLOY [Pnp] Repaired file: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\bthmodem.sys Before running SFC /SCANNOW version of bthmodem.sys was 10.0.22000.1 however after running SFC /SCANNOW it got updated to 10.0.22000.653. I tried this with both MVS May 2022 ISO and also build 675 from uupdump and in both cases corruptions exists after installation of windows.
Well, system seems to be stable. Besides, bthmodem.sys is driver for Bluetooth communication and since I don't use any Bluetooth modems I guess it doesn't affect me. Please note that even thought SFC flagged bthmodem.sys as corrupt, it is not really corrupt. It just haven't been updated to latest version provided in the image. My point is a freshed installed windows should not show any corruptions in SFC. I guess something in build 653 messed it up.
Mine is Windows 11 version 21H2 22000.675 and bthmodem.sys is 10.0.22000.1. After running SFC/scannow the file seems corrupted and being repaired version is now 10.0.22000.653 also. It is a physical machine not a VM. To be followed..
I am not sure but it could have be automatically corrected by StartComponentCleanup scheduled task. I even mounted install.wim from build 675 iso directly and checked version of bthmodem, sys and it was 10.0.22000.1 instead of 10.0.22000.675. Then I checked winsxs folder in mounted image and both mentioned versions of bthmodem.sys existed there. So I think it is safe to assume the problem is in the install.wim image.
I'm confused. This seems to be the latest build, where can it be downloaded from? Is there an LTSC release?
