Updated the Win 11 (22000.708.1.11) Updates Overview: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...d-22000-xxx-pc-co_release.83722/#post-1669627
This is the 21H2 thread (22000.xxx). 22H2 is this thread (22621): https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...2621-1-pc-22h2-beta-channel-ni_release.85327/
Just wanted to have a quick feedback / pro advice on windows 11 current status.. 1. Is it stable on machines with unsupported processors. 2. Is it now more stable than windows 10 , so one can upgrade without tension.
If i didn't need to be on the latest publicly or soon to be public Windows i would still be on 19044.xxx Edu or Enterprise, yesterday i did a WU Beta channel test upgrade to 22621 on my old second system (3rd gen i5), i will have a go at 22621 on my main system too but not sure if i will stay on 22621 or do a clean install of 19044.xxxx again (my system has full win 11 support (11th gen i7 11700) but is not the 12th gen intel for which 11 is designed.
Thanks @Enthousiast , i will stay on 19044 as for some more months , as I this is my primary work PCs with everything set and working . can't afford to break it during Phd. work phase.
Interesting comment. I am using the latest public build of Windows 11, on several different computers. It has been quite stable for me, and I like having the same interface everywhere. I am presently experimenting with a linux release on my download box, and I do support Windows 10 on a number of computers for friends and family. By sticking with public releases of Windows 11, I have had no real problems so far (knock on wood).
Why on earth do you want to do that on a system lacking UEFI? Just fix the win 11 ISO and install it on Legacy Bios/MBR.
your mobo is not uefi boot capable, so you have to stick to mbr/legacy bios. use rufus to create your usb with option "MBR partition scheme for bios or UEFI" and it will boot fine.
All tools and scripts on MDL are creating dvd's and usb's that would boot fine in uefi or mbr by default. This is Rufus issue. It still does not create proper ISO from microsoft windows images. You need to activate a "cheat code" to enable dual UEFI + MBR boot (Press Alt + E if I remember correctly, Rufus status bar should change once pressed). So re-do the media in Rufus if you prefer, after you activate this dual mode. Rufus status bar should say: Dual UEFI / BIOS mode enabled
