Well, right now, Android virtualization is the only thing that won't work. But more and more things will come in the future. They are going to write code assuming that everyone is using at least 8th-gen Intel or 2nd-gen Ryzen processors, so if you aren't running at least that, then you've no right to complain when your system stops working someday because they used some hardware instruction that didn't come along until Coffee Lake, because they warned you.
Bluestacks is an emulator. The 8th-gen and later Intel processors have hardware virtualization and containerization built-in and will not require an emulation layer to run Android apps. The performance will be much better than software emulation could achieve.
A uNique hardware String that ties to your machine no mAtter what you do? Who could possibly use that sort of thing in a nefarious tracking manner? Surely facetube or google wouldn't...
Still getting the very empty Insider page, fired up a fresh Pro install, logging in as Administrator, ran the offline enroll and yep. No better. I admit it - I'm very puzzled.
did anyone get this to work? HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\StartShowSearchMenu Red dword 0x1
It's strange that there is next to no documentation on what "Intel Bridge Technology" is, yet it is already present in the latest Intel, AMD, and Qualcom chips. The fact that Microsoft is backpedaling on Gen 7 Intel chips makes the cutoff seem even more arbitrary and possibly fake.
22000.51, logged into my MS account. Running an old Xeon 4 core processor, 8 threads. Tried to get into Windows Insider, system tells me my computer is not compatible. Ran offline enroll just for kicks, rebooted, tried to get into Windows Insider again, screen was blank. Ran offline enroll again and clicked the leave Windows Insider program, rebooted my computer. Went back to Windows Insider, it let me into the DEV channel no problems!!!
What I read originally was that MS wanted to keep Windows 11 limited to CPUs that have in-silicon fixes that were implemented after the original Specter and Meltdown discoveries. IMO they are going about all of this the wrong way. They should create a new OS from the ground up with built in virtualization that kicks in anytime you run legacy Windows apps. 4 years from now any new PC would be so stupidly powerful that visualizing Windows 10 would be pretty easy. This is kind of like what XP mode was like just more integrated and seamless.
Since AMD wasnt affected by Meltdown you can leave that one completely out of the equation. And for Spectre, they dont have HW fixes either, its just microcode/firmware and software mitigations.
Hi honey, it worked like a charm but in a different way. I've downloaded the 22000.51 Spanish iso and replaced W11 appraiseres.dll using an iso editor (UltraISO) and this is working fie in my job pc Unexpectedly, Windows Insider is not working, even in the Release Preview Channel. I've tried bring back with the OffLineEnroller but nothing happens. I was wondering about if we'll keep receiving updates from Windows Update to 22000.51 until reach the RTM, or if they (microsoft) will let us stucked without support in non supported machines (ths machine barely have secure boot without TPM 2.0)
