At this point with how much we need to backup to secure ourselves, might as well wait for 25h2 and hope they'll fix it. But then again we might get it till October. I had an impression it's coming within a few days but MS scheduled it for Sep, Oct. Please someone correct me
Shut the pc down and don't ever boot it up again is one step further then what was suggested in that quote.... Nobody said that windows 11 25H2 would arrive anytime soon, there were Release Preview ISOs promised but considering the problems caused by the LCU they most likely prosponed the release. Retail channel availability will be end september/october. And once more, even MSFT reported that 25H2 will be the same as 24H2 and there will be no new features at launch, why always the hype for people without any basic knowledge (their own words) have to be on the latest released build whilst it still is in the IP range.
Oh I hope so! Hopefully they focused on bug fixes. I just I had an impression it will be within a few days, till I checked Microsoft's schedule. I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft kicks the can further down the road
At least it's an answer. Fine, I'm getting Sandisk and Samsung flash drives. I buy drives that come from a company called Teamgroup. Never heard of it? I don't blame you, but basically, they're pretty cheap, like $10.99 Canadian.
So not a windows update KBxxxxx issue in itself, rather something else that happened to line up with the update?
I almost already forgot about that "phison fake document story" from mid august. This all is a big mess...
A nice combination of: 1.) a dev firmware ending up in public (probably also japan) 2.) not enough space for japanese characters in a windows kb, affecting only these firmwares afterwards? And only on large files? So the people who had the strange samsung nvme/ssd beahavior (power cycle failure), with or without the kb, not having a dev firmware...were just unlucky for unknown reasons?
