Not really, if you read thru the windows blog, Mr. Leblanc had been saying "for folks to share and try"; that would mean for everybody with or without win8.
what?? haha. Are you kidding?. You mean that a new big icon is not really a service pack or the "option" to use the old start menu is not either?. Maybe changing the backgound on the start menu makes a big difference, maybe not Or maybe you are right, is not even a service pack but an excuse to keep this virtually dead OS on the news.
Are u aware that the only thing u're doing is making urself look stupid? I mean, u're just trying to troll around, I know, but come on! Don't denigrate the art of trolling like this! Ok, u made it clear, u have no idea what is this about, now perhaps u should go learn a little bit and then come back with something not so lame, if u try hard u could actually make angry some ppl around here.
If we install a preview build, including the public preview. when the final product is released do we have to reinstall or will an update handle everything. I want to install the newest build of 8.1 on my win 8 pc that has a legit key, but not if I"m going to have to wipe and reinstall once the final is released.
Sorry, nope - for now MS have explicitly stated that there will be no upgrade path from the 8.1 preview, but there is a simple and reasonably effective workaround: Before you install the 8.1 Preview make a custom refresh image, that way when the 8.1 finally gets released to manufacturing, you can roll back to 8 without messing with your files and most of your installed apps (in my case the only stuff that needed reinstalling after using such a refresh image were the synaptics drivers + some codecs) Edit: Potentially one can also make a custom refresh image in 8.1 just before rolling back to 8 and do something like 8.1 Preview --> Clean installing 8(and then applying the refresh image) --> applying the 8.1 Final update --> applying the 8.1 Preview refresh image. Of course, the process because somewhat overly long, but it just might work (the only way to check, though,is to try it when 8.1 RTM becomes available)
