    why it it useless to bring all different topics of windows 8 preview topic into one thread instead 10 or 15 different threads:bangin:

    I could be wrong, but I believe any password data stored in Windows 8 is supposed to be encrypted using the TPM in your system. I suspect fingerprints would be treated the same way.

    yea, it is possible to use Fingerprint password on local account but if you log into Windows with your MS account, Your passwords are then also stored on MS Servers.

    I said about privacy concerns because their is a big difference between text/picture password and Fingerprint password (if Windows is connected to MS account).

    That's what I'm saying. I could be wrong, but I believe the TPM encrypts the data locally before it ever gets uploaded to Microsoft's servers.

    Honestly, all OS does is change some bling in their start screen and say "Tada, Windows 8.1" "Tada Ubuntu 13.01"

    I have Windows pro witch wmc activated with free serial promotion wmc,doubt when I upgrade to 8.1 this will have problems to activate with this key?:confused:

    Question would be, how was Win 8 Pro activated at first hand. In case this was done with a legit Retail key upgrade should work.

    Hopefully KMS protocol isnĀ“t changed in that build :D.

    Slave 77,my Windows 8 pro wmc was activated with that method to replace the data.dat on the other and use the serial wmc free promotion for M$.Will works on the 8.1?
