Hopefully an image will be available to install 8.1; I don't use a MS account (takes me more effort to file share on my own network)
the preview must be available as an iso as well as they cannot expect users to destroy their one and only machine with a preview not knowing if it works perfectly. No go. They definitely will issue a separate iso my 2 cents
Several reports have been stated, Do not upgrade with PRE-Release. why: if you do then to upgrade to RTM, it removes all APPS, that would mean WMC is gone, Office is gone, it reverts you back to Original Install of Windows 8. If you wait for RTM then if you update o Upgrade then it is like the old Windows 7 all apps and installed programs stay so if you are Windows 8 ProWMC - you will continue to be Windows 8.1 ProWMC. It is recommended to wait until you can get the Official Release via Store...
If an ISO isn't availible, I gurantee someone will piece something together. I remember that happening with Windows 7 betas where it was released as a .vhd and someone managed to piece it into a .wim so people could do a clean install. Also I highly doubt Microsoft would not release an ISO seeing that it will be probably availible on technet and other M$ services.

There's only a few percent of users with a win8, and MS wishes to persuade the rest to change to win8.1; it would be absurd if MS tell these customers: You need to first install win8, then wait for the Store to notify you for a upgrade to win8.1. ...... No, I'll say there will be standalone ISO's.
No - re-read my post very carefully. "I'd like to try updating a current 8 install, as well as a fresh 8.1 install. I'd like to update an 8 install AND do a fresh install of 8.1 on another SSD. None of us can read or write here - we need 8.1, sex, or a drink, or all 3... MDL = Mostly Dumb Linguists. A-B-C-D-E-F-G............
We need something around here, that's for sure. The tension is mounting, but all will come out OK on the 26th.
