I think i've found what's happened today with the 8.1 vm. Apparently the whole things were slow down from the scheduled defrag running in background. I tried again this morning and everything seems good now. Yesterday, while i was installing, i was having a skype voice call too but i don't think that the low performance was connected with it.

 

Does the SkinPack Auto UXThemePatcher works on Windows 8.1 and visual styles for Windows 8?

 

After reboot it's gone again
Maybe it's because i'm running it in a VM

 

Hi does anyone know where the Windows Store update is actually downloaded? Which location? Can someone upload Windows 8 Pro WMC "update" file? My progress is stuck in "pending" mode forever. An offline updater will be very welcome.

Unfortunatelly seems that you told the right....

 

Did you install the update via virtual HD ? because Windows Experience don't working on it (and maybe the fast boot. I don't know about this).

 

Windows 8.1 Preview is too much bugy for me. The weather app stoped working...

but how can I manually install this ?
( I dloaded it from store over nicht , but the update errored out , so I tried it again but store is dloading it again and that takes Ages )
so now I want to try to install it but the WindowsStoreSetupBox.exe doesn't do anithing , could someone Point me in the right direction ?

Tried to do the update from the Store. It crashed during the OOBE, so it rolled back to Windows 8.

 

I was installing one as clean 64bit and one as updating 32bit. Both went well and auto activated too. The upgrading was need double the time as the clean install.

My main machine will stay as Windows 8 Pro till the final arrives. Within that time I do believe that we'll see some more changes coming on 8.1 and for the time being the Preview is just good for to test and see. In real, I'm happy with the Windows 8 Pro as it is right now. No problems at all, fast and very stable. So no need of hurry changes.
