Windows 8.1 runs well here. All hardware works fine but I could not install LAN driver from Intel so I use the default one that comes with the OS. Haven't noticed any bugs so far. Bitdefender IS 2014 installed without problems.
Nah, I am not talking about the OP, which is out-dated and un-interesting anyway.....I am referring to naiveuser's post, what I don't know is, if you click "sign into each app separately instead", would it let you run the app inside the local account, or if it would make another user account ...... but I don't feel like starting a local account just to test it.
I don't feel like testing it either because I'm pretty sure that that just let's you use the apps like it is now with a Windows 8 local account i.e. sign-in to each app separately. Oh well, that will have to do for now
yep, it must have to do with screen resolution because I run preview on VM at a pretty low rate and it allows 2 snaps only
useless to talk about any kind of resolution without official data from MS. Perhaps someone has a white paper for it
For 64-bit installations of Windows 8.1 Preview, your CPU must also support CMPXCHG16b, PrefetchW and LAHF/SAHF. My CPU is an Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E7500 (3M Cache, 2.93 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB) and I have no freaking idea about CMPXCHG16b, PrefetchW and LAHF/SAHF. Will I be able to install Windows 8.1 x64 on my PC?
Your CPU supports CMPXCHG16b, and I don't think your CPU is so early of an Intel x64 chip to worry about not having LAHF/SAHF. The only thing I see that it doesn't support is PrefetchW and that is for AMD until Intel adds support, and Win8.1 should run without PrefetchW anyway.
